'Yo-Chi' is a creative and educational programme for children combining Seasonal Yoga, Tai-Chi and Mindfulness.

The programme is delivered in schools and private groups to all ages and abilities using a specifically designed curriculum.

Our Ethos

Yo~Chi is not for profit Social Enterprise. Our aim is to encourage and support schools and families to integrate these 'tools for life' into every child's life; setting them up with a firm foundation of physical, mental and emotional life skills for their future. Our programme is completely inclusive and is designed to be accessible to all children, of all ages and abilities including those with special needs. Yo-Chi is an exercise that suits children who may not be sporty and helps them to find confidence in an alternative way.

Not only do we take our Yo-Chi Programme to schools and private groups around the country, we also provide high standard Yoga Teacher Training for Children, aimed at Yoga Teachers and Educators.

You too can include the Yo-Chi Programme in your own teaching, with access to our rolling curriculum.

Our programme has been specially designed by a leading trainer in yoga, a drama specialist and a former head teacher for 3 different age groups, to ensure it enhances the school curriculum.

We are also a proud member of the Yoga Alliance Professionals.

The Yo-Chi programme was initially piloted in a number of schools and after receiving powerful feedback from children, teachers and parents about the impact of our programme, it is now being offered nationally.

Our Mascot Morgan

Using animation and story-telling, we have created a programme that is holding the attention of children with even the most profound emotional and behavioural challenges.

Our mascot Morgan represents a healthy and happy child, who is connected with himself and the world around him. He talks about his feelings and encourages the children to do the same. Just like all of us, Morgan isn’t perfect and struggles with certain feelings.

Morgan guides the children on a journey throughout the year, introducing them to his friends, the organ characters, including Brian the Brain, Harriet the Heart and Stanley the Stomach.

Organs, fruit and vegetables through the seasons

Here lies the clever bit!

Not only does this unique programme give children tools for a healthy life through mindfulness and relaxation, but the ‘Organ’ Characters’ teach the children about the functions of their bodies, seasonal food and healthy eating!

Each season we give the children a brand new curriculum with stories and exercises that build each season giving them vital tools for life!

Our Flagship Schools

Our amazing Flagship schools have all accessed the Yo-Chi programme in different ways and have seen really positive results. Yo-Chi is run as part of the curriculmn for some schools and as After School Clubs for others. Each school is allocated 3 FREE spaces for children who ordinarily may not be able to afford extra curricular activities.

We visit St Nicholas School in Fleet one day a week, teaching  Nursery through to Year 6.

For the last 5 years Selborne C of E School offer 'Club Yo-Chi' for two different age groups.

Mary Hare School for deaf children also have our specially adapted ‘Yo-Chi to enable’ programme as part of their daily activities.
