About Yo-Chi

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Yo-Chi teacher. By joining our community, you’re stepping into a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children—while also growing personally and professionally.

Yo-Chi is a holistic wellbeing programme that combines elements of Seasonal Yoga, Tai Chi, and Mindfulness. Delivered in schools, family centres, private settings, and community spaces, it’s designed to nurture every aspect of a child’s wellbeing—mental, physical, emotional, and social. At the heart of Yo-Chi is a simple mission: to reconnect children with nature and themselves, and to give them the lifelong tools they need to thrive in today’s world.

Why Become a Yo-Chi Teacher?

Children today face unprecedented challenges including:

  • A sharp rise in mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression

  • Overuse of technology and social media

  • Disconnection from nature and social isolation

We give you the knowledge, tools, and seasonal curriculum needed to:

  • Help children understand their emotions and how their body and brain work

  • Inspire joyful movement, imagination, and play

  • Reconnect children to nature, the seasons, and their own sense of inner calm

You don’t need to be a yoga expert or a teacher to train with us—just a passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact.

What Makes
Yo-Chi unique?

Yo-Chi isn’t just another children’s yoga class, it’s an immersive, multi-sensory experience.

Children move, breathe, imagine, and connect through:

  • Creative seasonal stories with characters like Morgan the Mascot and his organ friends

  • Movement sequences rooted in yoga, Qigong, and Tai Chi

  • Drama games, improvisation, and role-play

  • Emotional literacy and mindfulness practices

  • Relaxation, story massage, and breathwork

Each season focuses on specific body organs, emotions, senses, and elements connecting children to natural cycles while teaching them how to care for their body, heart, and mind.

  • No. You don’t need to be a yoga teacher, therapist, or educator to join the training. Many of our trainees come from a wide range of backgrounds, including parents, wellbeing practitioners, teachers, childcare professionals, and people simply passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing. The training provides everything you need to confidently deliver Yo-Chi sessions.

  • Yo-Chi teachers run sessions in many different settings, including primary schools, nurseries, family centres, community venues, yoga studios, and private classes. Some teachers build their own wellbeing business, while others integrate Yo-Chi into their existing work with children.

  • The Yo-Chi training gives you a complete toolkit to start teaching. This includes the seasonal Yo-Chi curriculum, movement sequences inspired by yoga, Tai Chi and Qigong, storytelling techniques, mindfulness practices, and practical guidance on delivering engaging sessions for children. You’ll also receive support from our experienced training team.

  • Yo-Chi is designed primarily for children aged 4–11, though many of the practices can be adapted for slightly younger or older children depending on the setting.
